Where To Find The Best Electric Heating Pad
My husband laughs at me and my home remedies. I do not like taking over the counter medications or prescription medications if I can avoid them. I have been this way since I was young. My grandmother used to have many different herbal teas for all types of ailments and home made ointments and salves for skin problems. Her solution to most aches and pains was to apply a hot water bottle and she suggested ice for swelling. I wish she had written down her herb blends. She died when I was sixteen years old and took all of her remedies to the grave with her. I remember some of her herbs for teas and I have done research to develop some of my own. I try to follow as much of her advice as I can remember. I also use heat and ice to alleviate aches and pains. I use an electric heating pad in place of the hot water bottle.
A few years ago my grandmother’s youngest sister died. She had also used many home remedies. One of my cousins mentioned that grandmother’s sister had written many things down in an old book. We found the old book in with her belongings. The book had been started by my great grandmother. My grandmother and her sister added to the book. The sister had lived long enough to advise the use of an electric heating pad for more consistent warmth over the hot water bottle. She also had opinions on various natural supplements that she thought were good.
I have begun to counsel people on home remedies. This started out slowly and has increased dramatically due to the good results that people have experienced. I advise people on different herbs and the use of the electric heating pad or ice packs for pains. I have found for my arthritis that if I use an ice pack for twenty minutes followed by twenty minutes with the electric heating pad on medium setting, my pain disappears. The ice clears the swelling and the heat warms the muscle and makes if pliable. After the session with the electric heating pad I do several different range of motion exercises that help to keep the joints fluid. I do not charge for my advice and I do not give out home remedies, only the recipes. I do not want to get into trouble for practicing without a license. It is amazing to me that my parent’s generation showed no interest in carrying on the home remedies. My mother says that the only advice she would take from grandma or me is to use an electric heating pad. I guess she is from the generation that feels that there is a pill for everything.
